John Brown, Wildlife Filmmaker, Director and Photographer
Listen in to hear John’s fascinating story about how he became a leading name in wildlife cinematography.
In episode three we had the chance to turn the camera and microphone on John Brown, the man often behind the camera of many household wildlife productions over the past couple of decades. John is a multi-award-winning documentary cameraman, director and stills photographer and has brought joy to many with his work on Dynasties, Frozen Plant and Africa to name a few.
Listen in to the show as John talks about his passion for natural history and filmmaking; as well as his desire to tell the story of the need for more conservation and awareness of climate change. Hear his journey of ups and downs; and how persistence and hard work eventually paid off and gave him his lucky break.
John is such an affable character, and has had the privilege of working with television royalty and travelled to all corners of the world, over this time he has had many challenges to overcome from surviving a helicopter crash to visa problems. He offers a great insight into his world and has so many valuable tips for current and future generations.
